Accupuncture: Guest Speaker

Today we had another guest, acupuncturist Matthew Power.
He talked about the Chinese philosophies of medicine, and about finding a balance of chi in the body.
He explained how acupuncturists use pressure points in the body to help channel chi through the medians (or chakras) of the body. He told us about body parts like the ear or foot having acupuncture points for each other part of the body.
Matthew showed us some samples of the types of needles that he uses on different points on the body. He showed us very small needles for use on babies.
He told us about many herbs that are used, some tasting foul. Luckily a lot of herbs can be turned into capsules and tablets, making them easier to consume for taste-sensitive patients.

At the end he gave out information show bags containing pamphlets and brochures about Chinese medicine. Everyone flocked to get theirs', perhaps thinking they would get junior acupuncture needles, only to be disappointed with brand-new shiny Biro's.

Hi guys,

Good to see you have chosen this challenge. Leaving babies and small children in cars is a huge issue and the principles of dehydration are not unfortunately really understood or valued by people until its too late.
Looking forward to your modelling to show the real evidence in this case.
Let me know if you need more assistance.
